Islam IS implacable. We CANNOT make TOTAL, everlasting peace with them. Their Koran forbids it. They said only by Islam can you enter heaven. And Christians say the only way to hraven is through Jesus. Jews, through their actions for YHWH. There is no way you are going to convert Christians and Jews to Islam in enough numbers to become "islamo-sovereign." I don't see ANY common ground here.

well, there's no way we could convert jews to christianity. or vice-versa. and there are plenty of fundamentalist christians out there too--why aren't you slamming them as well? besides, christianity has a terribly bloody past. streets ran red with the blood of traitors--namely, um, non-christians. entire towns were raped, plundered, and left unpopulated (assuming dead people don't count as citizens).
also, jason, the definitons of Kafir (can it be left uncapitalized? even if used as a slur?--) do not include christians and jews; however, i know some muslims will dispute that. just thought that might be of interest to an intellectual such as yourself; dictionaries say....
and could you post a blog explaining how all this came about? i mean, i really don't remember you as a fundamentalist republican interested in wiping out a good percentage of the world's population and one of the newest religions in the world.
speaking of which, isn't it possible these are just islam's growing pains? a gotta-stretch-your-legs,-dominate-the-world head rush, so to speak? "we are the force!"
You are right, Beth, that it is probably Islam's growing pains. After all, Christianity has been around for 2,000 years, and Islam about 1,400 years. So, Christianity is 600 years older than Islam. What were Christians doing 600 years ago? Killing each other and "infidels" and torturing, buring them at the stake. They used the Bible to justify these acts.
Nowadays, militant Muslims are using the same type of justification to commit just as barbaric acts, based on the Koran. Should we just allow them to go through "growing pains" , and suffer in the process with more thousands dead on our soil? If we just allow them to conquer the world in the process, we will end up dead and the world radioactive. Part of their growing pains is to experience defeat and the realization that the way of the sword is not realistic.
