Kerry is no Lincoln
I find it a little strange when Kerry is called "Lincolnesque," and its
for his loks, not actions! He even twists Lincolnls words! Kerry said "I
don't want to claim that God is on our side. As Abraham Lincoln told us,
I want to pray humbly that we are on God's side."
Now, I came across an actual quotation of that statement made by
President Lincoln, and it has a completely different implication. He
said "My great concern is not whether God is on our side, my great
concern is TO BE [emphasis mine] on God's side."
Ah.. Enough of those 'nuances,' John Forbes Kerry.
In addition, in Genesis 12:3, God says to Abraham: "I will bless them that bless thee." If Kerry HOPES that we are on His side, the ever-so-religious man that he is, he should feel confident that we are indeed on God's side, based on Scripture and the undeniable fact that the U.S. is, thanks to President Bush, firmly behind Israel.
Or, is it perhaps because Kerry himself is not unambigiously pro-Israel and he is covering his tracks, knowing the suicidal stance of being anti-Israel means we are NOT on God's side? Or is it just because he is so pompous and arrogant that he thinks that he is above everyone, including God, enblindening him?
