Bush's 10 Mistakes At Home and Abroad
Bush's 10 Mistakes At Home and Abroad
It is time for some honest criticism of President Bush. NO ONE is perfect! ALL presidents have their own shortcomings, and neither Reagan nor Clinton was exempt from that fact of life.
In due time, I will enumerate the reasons why Presodent Bush SHOULD be voted to a second term. I read a column that perfectly reflects my own disappointments of President Bush. That does not mean John Kerry will have any less smears on his possible presidential record.
In a nut-shell, my problems with President Bush: illegal immigration and should have been tougher on Ken Lay and Fallujah.

For
me, this site will be less of a personal diary and daily pulpit,
rather, it will focus strongly on being an e-soapbox for my
political issues of concern, and to highlight the technological
advances that will uniquely benefit us, the Deaf tribe, and
simply a portal for everything else that constitutes the Artist

List was kinda vague and more focused on the war. There was no mention of the assault gun ban expiration, albeit I want to own an assault gun without bullets for displaying purposes. There was no mention of not accepting UN's help after the war when UN offered. I have to admit that I was against the UN helping, but then when Kerry explained that it was an opportunity to unite, Bush divides once again. Bush has make mistakes on Iraq and so would Kerry would he be in his position, but there has been a lot of mistakes that he could have controlled such as the ban and the UN. He couldn't control Turkey, France or Russia.
The UN IS helping us right now! They offered to help us, but they withdrew from Iraq after its top guy, sergio Vieria de Mello, was killed in a suicide bombing, with their tails between their legs. They came around to their senses and offered to help once again, which we did not reject.
As for the assault weapons bill, AK-47's are in a differetn category, so they're still gonna be illegal. Assault weapons have always been available, and the law only banned those produced after 1994 from being sold. The only difference is that assault weapons have magazine clips of at least 30 rounds and they have automatic firing capabilities. One could still go on a rampage with a "restricted" M-16 with dozens of magazines, pulling the semi-automatic trigger thrice per second, a rifle that is not an assault weapon.
Isn't it interesting, that, in Israel, where many teachers are armed in their classrooms, the schools are one of the safest in the world? If some teachers at Columbine were armed, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris wouldn't have killed as many as they did. They would have gotten their heads blown out quickly.
If I am to be attacked someday by someone with an assault weapon, one of those "pre-94" models, I'd better have one to ensure my survival for another day!
From Dartmouth College's Colis Hall: Jason, violence begets violence.
Gun someone before he guns you down. Someone guns you down before you could gun someone else.
And so on.

Sad, ain't it? The violence cycle is spinning out of control everywhere.
I alone cannot stop the spinning cycle of violence. So, I got two options, pray and hope for the best htat people will be nice and not shoot me up with automatic weapons. Or to appropriately self-arm for self-defense. I would support a law requiring strict, extensive courses be taken to possess firearms, more difficult than it is to get a driver's license, a weapon in itself!
There is nothing wrong with shooting for sport, as long as the target's not a living, breathing human. I want to go to the Deaflympics in shooting. John Kerry certainly wants to hunt his ducks with the illegal automatic shotgun he was just given, or his Chinese Kalashinkov, a Vietnam war loot, (a court-martiable offense in fact). I ain't complaining, because sensibility is all it takes to handle guns, not additional laws amounting to nothing, which is even more guns on the street.
Of course sensibility does not mean you go preemptively shooting people. Howeverm if I see someone, armed, masked, break in my house watching from an upstairs window, I would have some time to get my locked up gun to prepare for a bout of self-defense. That is much preferable than frantically claling 911. In DC, that means the police will arrive in two hours. Bullets take nanoseconds to travel to its destination, so you do not have much options without a weapon of some parity.
R, you claim that you are a militant. If so, you should be on my side and be pro-2nd amendment! :-)
Ever hear of the Pink Pistols? Knowing you, I'm sure!
I heard about the Pink Pistols. LOL. But I never call myself a militant. It was done by some hearing guy who got upset with my blunt statements about himseilf -- he chortled and called me Gay Deaf Militant Terrorist. I find it amusing and decided to adopt the name.
