    Did John Kerry Cheat?
    Click for video

It appears that Senator Kerry pulled something out of his jacket pocket, unfolded it and put it on his podium before hte debate. According to the "Memorandum of Understanding," an agreement between both the campaigns, that was a proscribed action. Section 5, pages 4-5 of the memo says:
    (c) No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.

    (d) Notwithstanding subparagraph 5(c), the candidates may take notes during the debate on the size, color and type of paper each side prefers. Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium, table or other structure to be used by the candidate in that debate.

I know that this will cause the Left to howl in protest, but the rule clearly rules that "...[no] tangible things may be brought into the debate..." [emphasis mine]. Even if all Senator Kerry took out of his jacket pocket was a pen, he clearly did not abide by the rules. I am sure he did not take the time to carefully review these "guidelines."

This further shows the consistency in Senator Kerry's character in that he sincerely believes that rules are mere rules of which he is entitled to be above.

I would have to say that at least, of trying to be presidential all his life, John Forbes Kerry finally had his moment to look like it. He may have looked the most presidential that night, but like Ronald Reagan said, politics is all about acting. At heart is the conent, and for that Bush still wins.

Kerry would make a great Abraham Lincoln in a movie! After he loses the election next month, he can start growing, true to his Lincolnesque persona, a Lincoln beard! I know, I know. I am sorry, but it is 29 days 'till the election and the nitpicking has begun to start. ;-)

Now, you may start lynching me.

Don't apologize. You have the right to nitpick on people who wants to run America. On a smaller scale, it is like me being nitpicking on which men would make the best husband because he will be running the household.

    Same thing.

I was NOT shocked that Kerry would do something like that, Mr. Flip Flopper raised gas tax ten times, does not know where he stands on the war, and so many more.

    Keep it up.

There are so many sets of rules and laws, with varying degrees of legitimacy. For example, in the Netherlands, marijuana is still technically illegal, but their government does not enforce it. As a result of their "hands off" policy, Amsterdam is the Mecca for potheads.

Now, that is just the same with the UN. Their 12 resolutions commanding Saddam to disarm, clean up and shape up was, based on Saddam's actions in response, as efficient as used toilet paper.

As a result, international law upheld by the UN is largely irrevelant.

Remember that Bill Clinton's regime change of Serbia was an action of unilateralism, in violation of international law, because the UN did not endorse it. In fact, because of veto threats from other Security Council countries, Clinton went at it alone. Nary a peep from the UN member countries.

    Equality here? Obviously not.

i would think that kerry had a pen in his jacket pocket and use it out of habit. many male co workers of mine automatically handed me a pen from their shirt pockets. it's apparent he got permission to take notes.. is his pen ink contraband?

Oh, please. Bush's cronies designed the rules to protect Bush from looking so "stupid". But guess what? Everyone knew he's that dumb. :-)

If Bush is so stupid, why's he president? If he was so dumb, how did he make it through Yale and get his MBA from Harvard? Yes, yes, his surname might have helped him get in, but that does not mean his professors did his homework for him. No real idiot could really do that and end up President. If so, then America is in a really sad state. Fortunately, and unfortunately for the pessimistic Dems, I share Bush's beacon of optimism. At least he does not have a "smarter than thou" attitude like Kerry does.

Jason, there are plenty of gullible folks in Middle America. Bush conned them. Plus, he lost the election but thanks to his Pop's picks for Supreme Court, he was shoo-in as Prez. A couple or three Supreme Court seats were inserted by GW Bush's daddy.

    Go figure.

One more thing -- Chris Rock pointed out that a black person with a 4.0 GPA will have a hard time vying to be a CEO of some corporation while Bush with 2.0 GPA gets to do whatever he wants -- white trash trademark.

clinton did a regime change with serbia? there were active prison camps and NATO wussed out. they did not really criticize clinton for doing the dirty work (bombing not included) that nato didn't want to. the insurgents were not as bad as the ones in iraq today. the people themselves threw milosevic out.

A white trash with a 2.0 gpa, WITHOUT a Bush last name of course will never become a CEO. A black person with a 4.0 GPA has a much, much better chance of becoming a CEO in today's times. You people are the ones pulling down blacks. I see NO reason why a black person wouldn't be a CEO.

I have gotten C grades. That does not make me, in my own opinion, any less qualified. Did you know that Kerry got rejected from Yale Law School, so he had to go to a second-tier law school in Boston. Bush got in the Harvard MBA program. he got through it. He is minimially competent for BOTH yale and harvard. That, I don't think, warrants baseless accusations that Bush is stupid.

BOTH Bush and Kerry are smart people. Leave it at that.

I'm not putting blacks down. That is WHAT Chris Rock SAID in his stand-up comedy. He has a point -- that a black guy with 4.0 GPA will have a hard time proving himself while a white trash with 2.0 GPA like Bush has no problem riding on his daddy's reputation.

It is Bill Cosby who criticized blacks in that they have themselves, not whites, for their ills. He basically said that 50% of blacks drop out of high school, and these social ills do not help those who are succeeding. Just because Chris Rock is allowed to say "nigger" does not mean he is a spokesman for the African-American community. nor is Cosby. They are Americans expressing their opposing views. But I do think Cosby does have a very good point. But I also believe that it is the Democrats' vigorous efforts to keep everything politically correct and remove beautiful contrasts of color from everything. You can't remove color, but it is still there, and you cannot embrace it.

I am not allowed to express my pride of being white. Nothing racist about that. As long as one race does not claim supremacy above another. That is the important thing.

Why can't I say words like "nigger" or "faggot" in the context that the Deaf Gay Militant Terrorist does? At the same time, they can make fun of straight and white people.

Am I not allowed to say if someone is so "faggotingly gay" as opposed to "he is so damn effeminate" I think the first one can even be a compliment, while the 2nd one an insult. But political correctness deprives me from freedom of word choices, which is ultimately depriving me of free speech.

jason, if you're gay, you are allowed to say "faggot" -- but since you're woman-chaser, you re only allowed to utter a word like "niggardly". i am entitled to say "faggots" because I am gay. but i am not entitled to utter "nigger" because i am not african american.

but if you're my close friend and crack a line about gays, i'll permit that. but just to provoke, that's where my classic whiffle bat comes in.

    take it or leave it.

lol. yeah. using these labels simply to provoke is beyond the acceptable boundaries.

Heck, I see some of my white friends sometimes call each other "nigga" so it is no longer solely a degeratory word, just like fuck.

White trash, wigger, nigger, redneck are great words to describe the "extremes" of white and black people. but how do I describe an "exceedingly gay" person like I would say nigger? A faggot?

"wetback" isnt like "nigger" in the regard of having double meanings...

    just ruminating here :)

If he's an exceedingly feminine, say things like this: "You are so girly man," -- I guaranteed many men will balk on that. But fags and faggots are reserved for guys who poked in the ass to mock each other, you cannot.

    Sorry.
